A Dickens of a Party

The seventh grade students of Bakerloo and Metro House are presently involved in a web quest entitled “A Dickens of a Party.”  After studying the story “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, the students researched the Victorian Era in 4 areas: history, fashion (clothes/homes), etiquette, and entertainment. They will produced a PowerPoint presentation and a “calling card” for a famous Victorian, a character in “A Christmas Carol”, or an imaginary character. They will attend a Victorian Celebration on January 13/15 dressed in costume and in character. The PTO graciously gave our 7th grade $200 for food for the celebration which will be prepared by the Home Economics students.
